Dry Ice Blasting in Strathroy

Strathroy sits in the corridor between London and Sarnia — agriculture to the south, food processing along the rail line, light manufacturing in town. ODIB runs out of Wallaceburg, an hour east of Strathroy, and we work the area regularly: food plants, agricultural equipment, marine on the lake, restoration after fires, and the heritage masonry on older downtown buildings.

Built for Middlesex industries

Around Strathroy we most often work on:

  • Food and beverage — processing, packaging, conveyors, ovens
  • Agriculture — combine cleaning, grain handling, equipment maintenance
  • Manufacturing — plastics, packaging, light industrial production
  • Fire and smoke restoration — residential and commercial
  • Heritage brick and masonry — downtown Strathroy and area
  • Greenhouses and indoor agriculture

Why dry ice

Strathroy’s mix of food processing and agriculture is a textbook fit for dry ice. CFIA-compliant for food. Non-abrasive on combines, harvesters, and structural steel. No water on electrical systems. No secondary waste to dispose of. For heritage brick downtown, dry ice gets the soot off without altering the substrate — the building goes back to looking like itself.

FAQ

Can you clean agricultural equipment in the field?

Yes. We bring everything — compressor, dry ice, hoses, operator. As long as we can park the truck within hose distance, we can clean combines, harvesters and grain handling equipment on-site.

Will it damage heritage brick?

No. Dry ice is non-abrasive — the brick stays brick. For soft or eroded mortar we step the nozzle pressure down to protect it.

Do you work with insurance after a fire?

Yes. Most of our fire restoration work comes through restoration contractors and adjusters. We provide before/after photos and clean documentation for the claim.
