Why it works in a growing environment
Dry ice blasting is non-aqueous and non-abrasive. The CO2 sublimates to gas on impact, so nothing is deposited on structures, benches or equipment, and there is no rinse water running into the growing space or the drainage system. Is dry ice blasting safe to use inside a greenhouse?
Yes. The process uses food-grade CO2 that sublimates to gas on impact, so no chemical, water or blast media is left behind on structures or equipment. Ventilation is planned into the job because CO2 displaces oxygen in enclosed spaces — that is part of our site review, not an afterthought.
Can you clean while plants are in the house?
It depends on the section and the crop. Most greenhouse work is scheduled between cycles when the house is empty, which is faster and lets us do a complete job. We will tell you honestly at the site review whether your situation allows partial cleaning with plant material present.
How long does a greenhouse turnaround clean take?
