Why it works in a production environment
Dry ice sublimates to gas on impact, so there is no blast media to recover, no rinse water, and no chemical residue to document. That is what makes it usable inside a live plant. Fixtures and tooling stay in the cell, electrical stays in place, and cleaning that would conventionally need a teardown and a dry-out window can usually be done inside a normal maintenance window or a weekend shutdown.
Proven in a Windsor production cell
We were brought into an automotive assembly plant in Windsor to clean a robotic production cell — black adhesive and primer on the fixture plates, plus a cured two-part epoxy on the aluminum rails. FAQ
Can you work inside an operating automotive plant?
Yes. Most of our automotive work is done in place during maintenance windows, weekend shutdowns, or between shifts. We carry $5M general liability and WSIB clearance, provide a COI before mobilization, and can be named as additional insured. Contractor orientation and JSA requirements are normal for us.
Will dry ice damage weld fixtures or tooling?
No. Dry ice is a soft medium — it lifts buildup through thermal shock rather than abrasion, so it does not etch, profile, or change surface dimensions. That is why it is used on fixture plates, mould faces, and precision tooling where abrasive blasting would not be an option.
How fast can you get to Windsor?
About one hour from our Wallaceburg base. Planned work is typically scheduled inside two weeks; line-down and restoration calls get priority and are usually on site inside 72 hours.
